DESIGN EDUCATORS

EDUCATORS IN VANCOUVER B.C. OR VICTORIA B.C.

  • Teaching architecture workshops in Vancouver or Victoria to children.

  • Preparing lesson plans and material lists.

  • Must have a background in architecture or design / or a strong interest.

  • Must have a reliable transportation mode with room to carry supplies around (car preferred)

  • Fluent in French and English a strong asset

 TYPE OF WORK:

  • Part time contract work to start, possible employment after.

  • Remote and onsite.

  • Some travel possible in B.C.

  • Flexible schedule

  • Available to work at least 3 days / week from 8.30am to 3pm

  • Additional work possible during after-school hours and on weekend if interested

  • Possible full time employment if grant requirements are met

  • Possible sponsorship with “Mobilité Francophone.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual English and French a strong asset

  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm

  • 1 year or more of experience working with children.

  • Background or strong interest in architecture and design.

  • Strong capabilities in crafts, drawing, and model making.

  • Self motivated, passionate, approachable.

  • Outgoing, friendly, upbeat and fun!

  • Criminal record check and Red Cross Certification will be required.

  • Must have reliable transportation (car preferred).

  • Formal teaching training is an asset but not required.

  • Experience preparing lesson plans.

  • Experience with administrative tasks

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint…

  • Must be able to teach online.

    You are outgoing, you love arts and crafts and making models. You love children, have some educational skills and can maintain a working environment in a classroom. You show up on time and have a great positive attitude. You know how to adapt to the unexpected challenges that may come up in a classroom.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!

We are looking for volunteers (age 15+) to support our Pro D camps, and winter, spring and summer camps in and around Vancouver and Victoria.

 TYPE OF WORK:

  • Volunteer

  • Half day to a whole week, up to you!

DATES NEEDED & LOCATION:

  • Pro d days all year round

  • Winter, spring and summer camps
